Gear is designed to be compatible with any window covering that is controlled by a beaded chain - both plastic and metal beaded chains. These generally look like a U at the lowest point of the chain.

This would include all types of roller and solar shades, and even many vertical blinds, venetian blinds and draperies - regardless of brand. It is also designed to work with chains that use connectors.

Each AXIS Gear unit can raise and lower one single beaded chain at a time.

If your one window covering uses two chains to operate, you would need 2x Gear in total - 1x Gear unit for each chain, in order to fully motorize and remotely operate your shades.
