AXIS Gear has 3 physical buttons on top of the unit - SET, GROUP and PAIR.

Press ‘GROUP+PAIR’ to switch between Bluetooth and Smart Home modes.

To place AXIS Gear in to Smart Home mode, press the 'PAIR' and 'GROUP' buttons simultaneously for five (5) seconds.

You will see the Touch Strip flash PURPLE twice to signify that Gear has been switched to Smart Home mode.

To switch back into Bluetooth mode, press the 'PAIR' and 'GROUP' buttons simultaneously for five (5) seconds to switch the device back into Bluetooth mode.

You will see the Touch Strip flash BLUE twice to signify that Gear has been switched back to Bluetooth mode.

Please note that removing AXIS Gear from Smart Home mode will also disconnect from the ZigBee network you had connected Gear to.

Please also note that if you have recently <a href="https://support.helloryse.com/en/articles/5193969-how-to-factory-reset-your-axis-gear#:~:text=The%20Reset,after%20a%20few%20short%20seconds." rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">factory reset your AXIS Gear</a>, it will automatically start up in Bluetooth mode. Prior to switching your device into Smart Home Mode, you will need to reset its top/bottom positions using the on-device controls.
