To ensure your Gear will power on, please follow these steps:

1. Plug the solar module into Gear.

2. Attach the back lid to your Gear.

Gear will not function without the solar module plugged in to conserve power. When you attempt to use Gear with the solar module unplugged, a red light will flash at the bottom of the LEDs.

The back lid must be attached to the back of your Gear. Without it, the internal gear will be exposed and, as a safety measure, the device will not power on without it installed.

To get your Gear to turn on, simply attach the back lid and then press the 'X' button.
