Once you tap onto a Gear, it will take you to the Gear control screen. To control Gear, you can slide up or down on the vertical bar to set your shade’s position. Tapping any given location on the bar will automatically move Gear to that position. You can also use the up and down arrows beside the bar to make finer adjustments. At the bottom of this screen, the app will notify you when battery levels get low. You’ll also see a similar warning on the Home screen when this occurs.
Grid Mode or List Mode
There are a few ways you can control your Gear using the AXIS mobile app. From the Gear’s tab you will be able to see an overview of all of the Gears you have set up in your home. The default view is the grid mode which shows all your Gear in boxes like this. By selecting the icon at the top right of the screen you can switch the view to list mode. At any time you can switch between the two views to suit your preferences.
The final section of this screen is the setting icon at the top right of the screen. You can also access the settings screen by swiping the screen from the left. From here, you have the ability to change the name of your Gear and the type of shade it is identified as, as well as resetting the opened and closed positions of the shade by tapping “Calibrate” and removing the Gear from your phone tapping “Remove Gear”.
